Santa Cruz Chameleon 8 AL MX D Bike Built For Whatever Hardtails aren't just for cross-country riding, they're for much more now. With longer travel and more aggressive geometry, these hardtails can handle descending at high speeds, climbing, and fast acceleration. The Santa Cruz Chameleon 8 AL MX D Bike is for riders who like to sculpt their ideal bike, and aren't afraid to experiment. It uses an aluminum frame that uses 130mm of travel on the front. The frame features sliding dropouts that provide 12mm of chainstay length adjustment. These can be used for geometry adjustment or for tensioning the chain on a single-speed setup. The frame also features internal cable routing, 2 water bottle cage mounts, ISCG05 mounts, and a threaded bottom bracket. The MX version comes with a 29" wheel on the front and a 27. 5" wheel on the rear. The D version of the Santa Cruz Chameleon comes with a SRAM NX/SX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain. This includes a cassette that has a hill-crushing 11-50T gear range that makes climbing and pedaling through rough terrain much easier. SRAM Level hydraulic disc brakes provide reliable stopping power so you can descend under control.
