The Blur is the lightest and fastest bike to ever come out of the Santa Cruz factory, and it sports a new suspension platform that's appropriately named Superlight. Superlight allows for a trimmed-down carbon frame and provides suspension kinematics that translate all of our power into forward momentum. The Blur comes in XC and Trail options, with this bike being the longer-travel Trail model that's set up for a little more comfort on day-to-day trail rides. The Trail version of the Blur comes equipped with a specially machined linkage to allow for 15mm more suspension travel. This gives us a more playful bike and one that's set up especially well to get us through the most technical parts of our cross-country events and rides. It also sees a longer 120mm FOX 34 Step-Cast fork to help soften the bike's leading edge. The Blur TR also gets a slacker 67. 1-degree head tube angle and a relatively long 1157mm wheelbase in a size medium. The seat-tube angle is also spec'd at an appropriate 75. 1-degree angle to allow for a very efficient pedaling position. Overall the Blur's geometry gets us up the mountain as fast as any dedicated cross-country bike and down the mountain like a comfortable short-travel trail bike. *Due to unprecedented demand in the global supply chain and the bike industry over the last 18 months, material weight and exact components are subject to change.
