Built around a lightweight 6061 alloy frame with a modern 66 degree headtube angle, you can be sure that the Growler Jr 26 frame is the perfect frame for the most shredtastic kids bike. 26" wheels provide an excellent platform for younger riders and paired with an optimized frame produces a terrific singletrack ripper. Massive tire clearance for up to 2. 8" tires ensures you'll be able to run any tire combo with ample mud clearance. A threaded bottom bracket, support for a full size internally routed dropper post, and a tapered headtube round off the Growler Jr frame. Rocky Mountain decided to spec the Growler with a simple but tried and true Shimano and Sunrace 1x8-speed drivetrain with a wide range 11-40T cassette and 28T chainring. This combination provides plenty of easy gearing with consistent jumps from cog to cog. Shimano MT200 2-piston brakes provide plenty of stopping power while also being incredibly easy to maintain. The Suntour XCM34 Boost features large 34mm stanchions and paired with the boost spacing makes it very stiff while cornering and provides plenty of support on even the most technical of singletrack descents.
