They are available in regular (all sides equal) and elongated, or boat-shaped, varieties. Hexagon planters can be used alone or arranged together in honeycomb-like patterns, to create attractive and accessible garden designs. Made from kiln-dried Oregon cedar, a durable and naturally rot-resistant wood, this raised garden bed is sturdy and easy to assemble. Simply position boards so the ends overlap and insert metal corner pins to lock the boards together. It is easy to stack additional boards to increase the height of the garden. The rounded-end side boards pivot on the corner pins, and can be adjusted to form wider or narrower raised beds. The Natural Cedar Hexagon Raised Garden Bed can be equipped with optional top rails for an attractive finish and increased stability. The trim consists of pre-drilled 3-1/4 inch wide top rails that attach to the raised bed with included screws. Please note the duration of the warranty is 5 years for raised beds without trim packs, and 10 years for raised beds with installed trim packs. Dimensions All boards are standard surfaced 2x6 with actual dimensions of 1.5" x 5.5". Two boards stacked give the raised beds a height of 11 inches. Three boards stacked make a 16.5 inch raised bed, and four boards stacked make a 22 inch raised bed. Raised beds can be stacked as high as 33 inches. Each size comes with corner pins the same height as the bed you order, so you can put the raised bed on hard ground or a patio if needed, and the tops of the pins will be flush with the top of the bed. This raised garden bed comes with rust-proof aluminum crossbars, which prevent the wood from bowing under the weight of the soil. Durable Cedar These raised beds are made from kiln-dried Oregon Cedar-the strongest of all cedars. It is a fragrant, light-colored wood with even texture and strong natural oils to protect against moisture and fungal decay. To enhance the cedar's natural rot resistance, the boards are treated with a non-toxic silica-based wood stabilizer, which hardens the wood and further extends its lifespan. This cedar long outlasts most lumber found in stores. Perfect for long-lasting raised beds! Innovative Design The simple design of these kits allows wood to shrink and swell, for better strength and durability in wet and dry conditions. Hardware like screws and nails eventually loosen as wood ages. Our raised beds assemble with rust-proof metal rods set securely through the ends of each board. So after years of exposure the raised bed won't fall apart, and yet it can be disassembled by hand if needed. Setup & Assembly Hexagon raised beds can be set up on any ground surface that is flat and level. Simply position the boards so the notched ends overlap and insert corner pins to lock the boards together. Stack additional board layers to build the height of the raised bed. The corner pins will be the same height as the bed you order. No tools are required to assemble the basic raised beds.
