The MSR Front Range Ultralight Tarp Shelter packs small so we can stuff more gear for alpine climbs and ski traverses. Its frameless floorless design is easy to set up with the included stakes and one of our ski poles or trekking poles if it's summertime. It can be a shelter for sleep a sun shade against mid-day sunshine or a dining room for sussing beta and eating dinner with the whole crew. We also like pairing the Front Range with MSR's Front Range Bug/Floor Insert (sold separately) for greater coverage from buggy muddy environments.
