Ibis 935 Carbon 29" Wheels Ibis built the 935's to provide the ultimate light weight option for XC and trail riders. The rims can accommodate a range of tire sizes, making them very adaptable. They also feature a lower cross section height, which provides improved impact resistance. Ibis made changes to the carbon layup, incorporating new layers of carbon/ epoxy pre-preg into their original composite. The 935's asymmetric design allows for higher spoke tension, providing increased stiffness and power transfer. By combining these improvements, Ibis made the 935 30% and 7.5% lighter than the previous generation. At the center of the 935 wheels, Industry Nine's iconic Torche hubs hold it all together. The front hub has dual bearings that each have external o-ring seals with a high strength asymmetric design. The rear utilizes four bearings, external Teflon seals, and a silicone freehub seal. Driven by 120 points of engagement and a dual 3 pawl system, the hubs deliver spectacular three-degree engagement. All these elements come together to create a light and versatile wheelset that continues to exceed expectations.
