The handle scales were made from genuine jade a gemstone that has been prized as jewelry for more than 8000 years. The magical aura exuded by the legendary green gemstone enchanted knife collectors all over the world. The strictly limited edition was immediately sold out. We received many requests for a new edition of this style which we had to turn down of course. In cooperation with the timber industry we were able to develop and refine stabilization methods for different types of wood to be used as handle scale materials. Now 25 years after the presentation of the anniversary model the elegant green hue of the stabilized curly birch gave us the idea to create a new version of the 1994 style with more practical wooden scales in a similar color. The blade is made of 440C and secured with a sturdy backlock. The fully handcrafted knife made by Boker Manufactory Solingen comes with the new version of the historic Boker tree symbol.
