The Salomon Villain Classicks Snowboard retains the poppy feel and locked-in precision that Lou relies on to lay down next-level tricks on technical urban rails, just with a bit of added tech for heightened energy transfer. Like the original Villain, this Classicks version features a Rock Out Camber profile. The center of the board is raised like it is with regular camber, but it's actually flat from insert-to-insert, which gives the board a more stable and predictable feel on take-offs and landings. There's also small rocker zones at the tip and tail contacts for extra play when you're pressing, sliding, and messing around the park. Besides its special-edition graphics, what makes this board really stand out from the original is the addition of Gunslinger sidewalls. Carbon inserts along the full length of the sidewall maximize the board's energy transfer for heightened responsiveness and pop. Also, these carbon inserts work to absorb harsh landings and high-speed chatter for a smoother feel in the park and streets. It retains the Aspen Select Core of the original Villain for a smooth, consistent flex with high levels of durability needed to withstand freestyle thrashings. Salomon also threw in a Sintered EG base, which is laced with Gallium for durability and Electra for a faster glide.
