Out of Rossi's entire collection of backcountry Nordic skis, the Rossignol BC 70 Positrack Ski sits right in the middle in terms of width; not too wide nor too skinny, this ski has the best balance of lightness and off-road stability. It has all the features you'd expect out of backcountry Nordic skis, like full-length metal edges and and a wide sidecut to handle variable conditions, combined with the best parts of traditional cross-country skis, like a light and low-density LDC wood core and grippy Positrack waxless bases. The Positrack is made with Active Cap construction, which combines flexible RossiCap technology with a stiff multi-directional fiberglass laminate to give it a balance of torsional rigidity, directional stability, and consistent performance in deep and uneven snow.
