The Press Fit Retaining Compound works by filling gaps and securing non-threaded parts like sealed bearings and press-fit bottom brackets to keep things in place reducing chances of obnoxious squeaks on the ride. Notice: Park Tool recommends using AP-1 Adhesive Primer to prep all components fasteners and carbon fiber surfaces prior to application of Park Tool threadlockers or retaining compound.
