The snug fit is two-fold as it also offers compression benefits which improve circulation so muscles can work harder and recover faster. Campy uses a 2-percent carbon fiber filament at the sleeve and underarm areas as it has antibacterial properties, it's quick to dry, and also disperses static electricity that builds-up during cycling. At the waist's hem, the silicone gripper keeps the fit in place as you rise from the saddle and sit back down numerous times over the course of the ride. The longer sleeves are held into place by a lay-flat thermally welded gripper that comfortably holds it in place and is more aerodynamic.
