The unit seamlessly pairs with its power meter package, giving you instant feedback at your cockpit in terms of power output, pedaling efficiency, and many other essential metrics. The Cycle-Computer is part of Pioneer's new Pedal Monitoring System, which displays power output for each leg, independently, as well as where that power is being applied. These metrics are displayed graphically on the screen, with arrows indicating contributing torque, and other arrows indicating losses. The reason Pioneer does this is fairly straightforward -- even if the total power is high, if the first set of arrows are large, some of the rider's power is being wasted. Conversely, even if the total power is low, many secondary arrows show pedaling is effective, and little power is being wasted. This gives you an exact visual representation of how effective your pedaling is, in a real-time, out-in-front format. Pioneer included six preconfigured screens, each featuring preset screens that display a range of one to nine metrics at a time. You're able to turn individual screens on and off, as well as being able to customize the screens to your liking. Large buttons let you easily move to the next screen so you can keep track of ride details.
